Why such support for the assault launchers? Using quickfit, it shows that you get roughly twice the DPS with heavy launchers. Is there something I'm not getting here?

I just got a Caracal and I do prefer using missiles. I'm just scared I'm going to spend way too much time training up skills I didn't have before in order to compensate for not using a lot of my starting skill very much.

Well...as I calculate it I don't have a lot of range available to me. I have a bombardment skill of II and I'll have a cruiser skill of II which will net me +40% range. (3750m/s)(10s)(1.4) = 52.5km. That's not really that much. Is there some other...
